BJerky started the way many great ideas do: as a hobby that got a little out of hand. We’d make batches of jerky for friends who came over to watch football, hang out, or just snack on something better than the usual chips. Pretty quickly, people started saying the same thing:

“This jerky is amazing.”
“I love how thin and crispy it is.”
“I would totally buy this.”

And because apparently selling meat out of the back of your car in an alleyway is frowned upon, BJerky was born.

A Love of Jerky

We love jerky. Always have.

Over the years we’ve tried just about every kind out there, from the big brands you find in stores to the smaller regional ones we stumble across when traveling. Depending on your tastes, it can be hard to find the right jerky, so we wanted to share our spin on it and hope that our customers love it as much as we do.

Who the Jerky are We?

Pile of delicious jerky

The Thinness. The Crispiness. The Flavor.

There are other companies that make thin jerky, but where BJerky stands out is our flavor. This took a lot of trial and error. Some batches we thought would be incredible, definitely were not. Luckily, a lot of taste testing with friends and family helped us dial things in until the flavors landed exactly where they needed to be.

From a love of spices arose OG Hot, but we quickly learned that too much spice and it might need a warning label. The result is jerky that’s carefully sliced thin, perfectly crispy, and packed with the right amount of flavor.

Our Process

Making great jerky is part art, part patience, and part being a little obsessive about the details. It starts with quality beef, sourced locally, that’s carefully sliced thin to get that signature BJerky texture.

From there, each batch is seasoned with our handcrafted marinades and slowly dried to lock in the taste and create the perfect bite.

Because we make our jerky in small batches every week, we can keep a close eye on the process and make sure every bag lives up to the standard. That means it’s not sitting around in a warehouse waiting to be shipped. It also allows us to keep things simple and limit unnecessary preservatives or chemicals.

We know that if you’re going to spend your money on jerky it better be really good jerky. That’s why every batch matters.

Why BJerky Hits Different

At the end of the day, BJerky started because people kept asking for it and it’s growing because people keep coming back for more.

We’re incredibly grateful for every order, every bag opened, and every person who tells their friends: "You’ve gotta try this jerky."
